College games on tv today5/25/2023 There's a smattering of other state rivalry games that don't matter but will probably, between them, offer at least one or two fun experiences. They're America's team on Saturday night. They could beat the Buffs, and doing so would be a devastating way for CU to fall short in what's been a dream season. The Utes are out of the Pac-12 South race because they blew it last week against Oregon. Utah-Colorado will be a tense, tense experience. But Alabama might have to work a little for this one, and that's more than most Tide opponents can claim this year. I'm not saying Auburn will win, because Auburn almost certainly will not win. But there's reason to think Auburn can stay competitive, at least on one side of the ball. It's easy to forget about the Iron Bowl, given that Alabama's Alabama and the SEC West is already locked in.This is a big domino in the postseason picture. Michigan wins the Big Ten East with a victory, and Ohio State probably gets a Playoff berth if it wins. But this rivalry is such that it's worth watching no matter the outlook, and the stakes this year make it an even more appealing watch than normal. It's not quite a toss-up it's likely Ohio State wins. The Buckeyes should be able to win because the matchups favor them on offense and they've got the home field. I really do feel strongly about Michigan-Ohio State. And don't forget the FCS playoffs are going on, too, and provide a solid streaming option. Here's Saturday's schedule, fashioned into a Watchability Grid. Take a stroll up and down your channel lineup. You've also got the Egg Bowl in a year when both major Mississippi teams are down, and there's also Notre Dame's likely doomed quest to avoid finishing 4-8. If Michigan manages to win in Columbus, Penn State's game against Michigan State becomes a Big Ten Championship play-in for Penn State, so that could be a thing. Florida-Florida State has zero conference standings ramifications in either the ACC or the SEC, but it could have some effect on New Year's Six slotting (or lack thereof) for either.ĭuring the middle of the day, the world's really your oyster. That one means a lot because it decides the Pac-12 South, with the Buffs a win-and-in and USC hoping the Utes can help out with an upset. There are only a couple of must-watches, and there's nothing along that line between The Game and the evening's Utah-Colorado game. (That's Michigan-Ohio State, with all due respect to Rutgers-Maryland, Kansas-Kansas State and Purdue-Indiana.) But it's also Rivalry Week, and the biggest game of the year is happening at noon ET. For almost the entire country, college football's regular season is over after Saturday.
